March 2010 - Stamp-of-the-Month
T16 - Country Road (special monthly price - see below)
Step-by-step: (all images/cards reduced)

Step 1: Stamp on the lower half of your card.
Ink (T16) trees in background in Green and the road and fence in Black.
I usually use Marvy Matchables ink pads and I don't worry about being really careful.

Step 2: Ink January Sky (T13) once in Blue
(Sky’s-the-Limit Blue is used here),
stamp it on the top half of your card.
Then without reinking, stamp it again several times.

Step 3: Using a stipple brush and Sand colored ink pad, brush/stipple on the path.
Then with the straight edge of scrap paper mask the right side of the path
up to the bottom edge of the fence posts and brush Green ink in the grassy areas.
Repeat on the opposite side of the path.
To create depth, brush a darker Green along the fence edge.

Step 4: Using a Black ink pad, stamp the branch (N69) off the edge of the card.
Then also in Black, ink and stamp the boy (D578).
Either with a ruler or freehand, draw a line from the boy to the tree.

Step 5: Again using a Black ink pad, stamp the bird (H187) and the family (D582)

Step 6: Ink the dog (J371) in a Black ink pad and stamp.
To add the shadows use a Gray PITT marker
(glossy paper works best for this technique)
and smear the shadow line away from the images…
making sure they are all going in the same direction to create a realistic impression.
